75th anniversary of pearl harbor
Patriots Club members were invited to honor the fallen during the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor on December 4, 2016, at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl Crater.
It was an emotional day as Patriots Club members read the bios of WWII Medal of Honor recipients, with 30 Pearl Harbor survivors and WWII veterans looking on and listening closely. A performance of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" sparked tears in one young member, who later spoke that she "just got it," referring to the heavy weight of the sacrifices made during Pearl Harbor and WWII.
Patriots Club members and their families later joined the veterans and The Greatest Generations Foundation for a luncheon at Sunset Lanai at Camp Smith, which overlooks the span of Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
