ADMISSIONS & REGISTRATION 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR


We are excited that you are interested in becoming a part of the Navy Hale Keiki 'ohana! To apply for the 2017-2018 school year, follow the instructions below to access and submit an Online Application. 

Please be aware that your child's enrollment is not complete or guaranteed when you submit the Online Application. Once the school receives your child's application, you will be notified of when you can begin the Online Enrollment process. Online Enrollment will be open to you on the date of registration for your child's grade level or status (see below). Further instructions on how to access and complete enrollment will be sent at a later date.

PLEASE NOTE: It is no longer required to come into the school to submit your registration on a certain date. The deadlines for registration below are the dates that your child's application will be approved, space permitting. You do NOT have to wait until your child's registration date to submit your Online Application. Please submit your Online Application as soon as you have completed it so that it is in our system. Registration is first come, first served, and this is true for the online process as well. Submitting your Online Application ahead of your registration date ensures that you are early in line to either be approved for enrollment or placed on our waitlist if a space is not available.

HOW TO APPLY
Applying is easy using our Online Application. We encourage families to apply online as it simplifies submission and provides parents a tool for tracking online the status of their admission after their application has been submitted. A non-refundable fee of $25 must be submitted with each application.

CREATING AN ONLINE APPLICATION
To begin the Online Application process, Create an Account. Then log in to your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.

After submitting the application, you will be able to track online your admissions status at the school by logging in to your account. There you will be able to print the completed application and monitor when the school receives supplemental application forms.

Your application is not complete until the fee has been paid and the packet is submitted. 

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email notification with further instructions. If you have not received an email from the NHKS Administrative staff verifying receipt of your application, or an email notifying you that enrollment is now open, please contact the NHKS Administration at (808) 423-1727.

 

Registration Dates for the 2017-2018 School Year

Dates for registration start as indicated below and are ongoing thereafter:        

January 17: Registration for returning students and siblings entering preschool (3 years old)

January 30: New students entering preschool and siblings of current students (prekindergarten through fifth grade)

February 13: Waitlisted military children (from the 2016-2017 waitlist)

February 27: New military students

March 13: Waitlisted civilian children (from the 2016-2017 waitlist)

March 27: New civilian students

April 1: Mass screening for preschool, prekindergarten, and kindergarten students (Please note, new students entering first through fifth grades must contact the NHKS administrative office to schedule a screening.)
