Special Classes
Creative Arts
Art and music lessons focus on the understanding and the application of art and music materials,
techniques, elements, and processes. Students acquire the understanding of how art and music communicate a variety of
ideas, feelings, and experiences. Students are exposed to art and music history and culture.
Physical Education
Preschool through kindergarten children actively learn spatial awareness, body part identification,
and gross motor skills through age-appropriate activities. First through third grade students learn about spatial awareness,
safety, the muscles of the body, the components of fitness, healthy life styles, and the benefits of exercise through
manipulative centers and cooperative activities.
Library
All classes visit the library once a week. They receive library skills instruction and are able to borrow books.
Computer
Classes are available for first through third grade. Our goal is to provide a basic foundation in computer skills,
word processing, and researching skills.
