History of School
Navy Hale Keiki (House of
Children) School was established in 1946 as a
non-profit co-op nursery school in the military
community at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It served since
1967 as a private early childhood school for
children three years old through Grade Two.
Expansion to the third grade was successfully
launched during the 2007-2008 school year.
The school received accreditation by the Western
Association of Schools and Colleges in the late
1980’s and has continued to receive six year
accreditation terms to present. As part of ongoing
improvement goals, the school has solidified
programs in Creative Arts, PE, Computers, and
Library/Media instruction to enhance an already
strong academic program.
