8:50-9:45 Work in learning centers (challenging work)
I will be working with small groups, giving lessons on the materials, helping individuals as needed, and working with reading groups.
9:45-10:00 Clean Up/Story Time
10:00-10:45 Snack & Recess
10:45-11:00 Bathroom
11:00-11:15 Leveled Readers (Everyone reads at their reading level.)
11:15-11:45 Mondays: Kindergarten Math lesson
First graders might join us for some group lessons and at other times they will be working independently or in small groups on a math lesson.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays: Kindergarten Language Arts Lesson
First graders will have time to “surf” (Silent, Uninterrupted, Reading Fun) and work on other language arts activities either independently or in small groups.

1:00-1:45 Monday and Tuesday: Math
1:45-2:30 Monday and Tuesday: Language Arts
Thursdays
12:30-1:00 Computer Class with Mrs. Lovell (5 students)
1:00-1:30 Computer Class Group 2 (5 students)
1:00 1:30 Reading Groups & Writer’s Workshop with the remaining students
Group 1 will go to computers first and group 2 will go first the next week. The remaining students will remain with me for Reading Groups and Writer’s Workshop.
Fridays
1:00-1:30 Japanese Class with Mrs. Hohnstein
1:30-2:30 Science/Social Studies project
On Fridays, we will be working on a special science or social studies project related to our monthly curriculum theme.
2:30-2:45 Story & Dismissal
I will be reading a chapter book every day before our final dismissal.
